The 7th Annual Omaha Out Of The Darkness Community Walk was held on Sept. 10th to bring awareness about depression, mood disorders and suicide prevention.  Although the walk has been completed, the fundraising efforts continue through December 31st, and we are committed to reach our goal of $100,000.00.  By doing so, we will be helping the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to continue its vital research and education programs to prevent suicide and save lives, increase national awareness about depression and suicide and provide support for survivors of suicide loss.  Funding also supports the Nebraska Chapter programs for the local community.  You can help by donating online or, if you prefer, mailing your donation by downloading a pdf form for this purpose, and/or you can support one of the fundraising events, which include the following: AmandaHugs team fundraiser: Younker’s Customer Appreciation Sale Discount coupons booklet. ($5.00 all of it goes to AFSP) Contact Jeanne at amandahugs@cox.net for purchase or for further information AmandaHugs team fundraiser: Aksarben Cinema (67TH & Frances) Nov.1 – Nov. 30 2011 When patrons purchase their tickets they will be asked if they would like to add a dollar or more to Support AFSP.
